July 8-10 for Festerling Family Reunion #2
Pack your party hats and get your pyramid skills in order. Here's what you need to know right now:
Location: Hattie and Patrick's house 8864 Salem Farms Drive, South Lyon, MI (right outside of Ann Arbor)
Friday, July 8 7:00pm
--S'mores bonfire, singing (of course!) for anyone who is already in town, BYOB
Saturday, July 10 anytime after 12:00pm
--Hot dogs/chips/etc available for lunch
--Taco Bar Fiesta at 6pm
--We will have a keg, wine, lemonade, and water--bring anything else you might want

Lodging:
A block of rooms is being reserved at Hampton Inn Ann Arbor. We will update with the name/price of the block very soon.
Rustic camping is available in the Maguire's backyard but we need to know ASAP if you're planning to do this so we can figure out if we need porta potties and whatnot. Post in the comments if you're thinking you'd like to camp on site!
Less rustic (but less convenient) camping is also available about 30 min away at Bruin Lake State Park in the Pinckney Recreation Area
T-shirts:
Instead of ordering one t-shirt this year, we've decided to assign colors to families. Do whatever you'd like but bring your A-game so we can have some colorful photos. Order customized shirts, match with things you already have, but represent for your Original Festerling:
Bob: Orange
Howard: Red
Roger: Blue
Lois: Green
Linda: Yellow
John: Purple
Make your travel plans and let us know if you're coming by posting in the comments. If you have internet-wary siblings, (*cough* Trudy and Lisa), please spread the word for us!

ReplyDeleteHi, Hattie! Thanks for organizing all of this! Our family would be interested in camping in your yard for sure...we have 2 small tents about 7x7 each, maybe? We also have a dog, but I am guessing we would leave him home this trip just to make life easier on everyone. Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing everyone.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Jim and I will be there. Jim always needs a little coaxing! I think Lois has said we could claim a bed at her place and/or we might also do the hotel accommodations. Excited ! Hopefully at Christmas time we can settle on t- shirt idea! Thanks for the preplanning!

DeleteSo excited to once again connect with all the Munchkins---- adults we do not forget(yet anyway)but the ankle biters change so much! I laughed to see the lists of things to do in the area--- no indulging the Golfers---- lots of fun other stuff! Thanks Hattie for hosting al of us.
